mac or pc

I don’t know where to post this… and i don’t know think it’s a very important thing. but.
I work on the manager of modx (to do my website) on a mac (G4). And today i connect on my wife computer (PC) to the manager too. and surprise. it works faster on PC than on a my mac. Is there a reason?

The manager will probably work faster on a PC actually. It’s one of the areas we’re addressing.

It would most likely have something to do with your processor speed. What we are talking about here is the Javascript, which is totally dependent on your browser’s handling of it. The original was developed in a very Windows-centric manner.

Ah OK, yeah well you’re right the previous was single core and now I have a Core Duo, which indeed is way faster...

yes, yes, i think to java too. and the biggest problem is the crash of firefox when you open too much windows… and work with the manager in the same time…

Yeah, it’s really all about the processor for the most part....although I admit there is some javascript in there that is a bit more centered towards IE...but that’ll change by the time a 1.0 release is rolled out.

Now then...without reading into anything else on this thread, the main question in the subject was "Mac or PC". My opinion? Mac all the way! Why? Because Windows Vista is a beast that is better served with its head chopped off and served on a big platter with an apple in its mouth.

Dont care dear Bravado. i use mac (and apple) since…1987. I don’t think to change now. even if sometimes windows works faster on modx…
but. one thing to work faster is to use a template more light. i found one either… but i don’t know where…

Don’t forget you can run Windows on MacIntels, so the best of both is easy to get
