IE7 Beta 2 Preview Available for public

Not very fresh news (a week old)...but since I didn’t see any post about this here, I thought I’d share... you can now download the Beta2 without being a MSDN subscriber (or get some hacked version )

Not that I have I hopes, won’t use it, but for the purpose of knowing what we as designers will have to face this time around... well, download and see what our websites look like in the upcoming IE...(sigh)

Attention: This version will overwrite your IE6, so it´s not a real test version it´s.. erm... Microsoft

A friend of mine installed it and told me that all joomla sites get messed up... while my modx site works fine

A lot of rehacking is coming on to lots of administrators I fear.

They are hardly in the business of making sure their products do not interfere with your use of competing products.

Crap, I did it before I realized this -- you mean I can’t got back to IE 6 now!? What freakin’ idiot hired these people?! Oh yeah, nm...I recall now

The more time goes by, the more I am just *dreaming* of getting the cash to buy a nice Powerbook G4 laptop !

Or maybe the GooOS linux distro that would convince me to jump into the Linux world (still dual booting at the moment...)...

New Powerbooks Macbook Pros come with Intel Core Duo processors and are supposed to ship this month.

The new iBooks, which I understand are gonna be amazing, come with single core processors.

Oh well, guess I have to setup my vmware just to test the beta release. Hate microsoft, but I’m still amaze on how they do business though.

Waow, dual core this is cool !

But if new ebooks are more powerful, I might go for that at one point, since it sure will be less expensive

Yeah Wendy, it’s true I’ve worked for Microsoft France 6 years ago (don’t laugh, I worked customer satisfaction and ISO9000). No matter what product they ship, they’re pretty organized and professionnal, especially when it comes to marketing. Plus they’re obsessed by loosing the first place... there’s quite a bit of pressure @M$...
