Uploading files

Since the upgrade I’ve been getting this warning under configuration

One or more configuration details didn’t check out OK:

Configuration warning: ’GD and/or Zip PHP extensions not found’

What does this mean?
MODx needs the GD and Zip extension enabled for PHP. While MODx will work without them, you will not be able to take full advantage of the built-in File Manager, Image Editor or Captcha for logins

Could this be the problem. I’m not unzipping anything in file manager so I wouldn’t think it would be a problem. Also my page that uses Jot(see Capcha) is having problems so maybe they are all related. From what I have read if this is something that has to be fixed I need to do it through my host (Dreamhost), but it looks like that could be problematic too according to this thread http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,47782.msg280999.html#msg280999.

Captcha does need the GD graphical libraries. You can check the Reports -> System Info, and the view link for phpinfo. You’ll be able to see from the compile options if GD is compiled in. You can also scroll down the list of extensions and see if GD is there.

Your right, and I fixed the Capcha problem so it is definitely unrelated to the upload problem and configuration error.

Maybe your host have "suhosin" settings causing this?
