I must say I am surprised by the tool adoption problem... while it’s undoubtedly not easy, I have increasingly good results as 3 out of 4 clients use activeCollab now... it started at 1/3.
I plan on offering a significant discount (still TBD) to clients (applicable at delivery -> i.e only if they actually play fair) if they use activeCollab instead of sending emails, using the phone... etc. I still have to draft the exact terms but I am pretty sure this could be the definitive way (of course the tool as to be easy to use, and well documented) to really get up to 9/10 clients using it.
We shall see...

You’re right about Basecamp.
For smaller projects I’m going to try....MODx by setting up a container to hold items about the site: How it’s set up the way it is. how Ditto and other snippets work and generally just keep them aware of what’s happening with the site and how to do certain webmastering things.
This way they can login and see pages that only they’re allowed to see via permissions and yet still be able to browse the site and see exactly what I’m talking about.
My GTD is actually a 6’ x 4’ chalkboard. The upper half for me, the bottom half for my 4 year old son. I back it up digitally (Back Up Your Chalkboard - Digitally!) I’m on an Apple and the board is right behind me. I back it up using Photobooth. Works great! Since Photobooth (can’t think of the word) shoots backwards, I would have to print it out and hold it to a mirror. I call it poor man’s encryption.

Here is a great tool I tried, some of you might like this. It is based on TiddyWiki and works client side and uses local files but is browser based and doesn’t require any AMP install. It is called MonkeyGTD:
http://monkeygtd.tiddlyspot.com/.
Some of you might find this interesting.
I am working on a project name for the productivity site so suggestions are welcome.
Cheers,
Jay

Yeah, David MonkeyGTD is neat. I actually beta tested Vitalist (
http://vitalist.com/) and found it great but I stopped using it as I found that I just kept filling it and filling it and I really needed to learn the discipline of elimination before I entered stuff in there.
Here are some names for the site:
1. webdesignerdev
2. sunfoodwater
3. developthewebdesigner
4. webdesignerretreat
5. webdesignself
6. webdesignyou
7. webdesignerzen (cliche but not horrible)
Any thoughts? Any better/different ideas (credit will be given).
Cheers,
Jay

What about TheWebDesignersZen
Zen2Design
Sunfoodwater sounds good but i guess people might not know what the website is about just from the name
