What happens when you try to do a search with the domain whois?

there’s the link to the search... for some reason it’s not leaving that page or retrieving info.

nevermind it’s working... it’s just taking a few seconds to load the whois in to the area. Check it out and see what you think.

Just noticed your form jumps to the top you can fix it by doing this:
in the file AjaxSearch.php look for
function CheckWhois($domain){
return "
<a href=\"#\"
change this to:
function CheckWhois($domain){
return "
<a href=\"#whois\"
further down look for within: function processAjaxWhois()
if (strlen($domainName)>2){
echo ’<fieldset><legend class="green">Whois results</legend>’;
change it to:
if (strlen($domainName)>2){
echo ’<fieldset><legend class="green">Whois results</legend><a
name="whois"></a>’;
The search and whois display will now use a named anchor which will focus the user onto the whois details.

I’m trying to make this comply with xhtml strict and it seems to stop the ajax working. I tried putting all the javascript thats on the search page in the head of my template to make it comply but it stops it working.
What would the reason be behind that?

I’m not quite sure on that, Ive also tried to move the javascript to the head section of my template and the search no longer works.
I can only guess that the javascript / AJAX has to be in the body section of the page to function, i will try and look at it further in a few days to see if I can get a fix for you.

hey, i was wondering if you can get this working with jquery as the mootools js is conflicting with jquery. I’m using jquery for a menu and it’s not working correctly because of mootools conflict.
