      Hey everybody. Any idea why the map flips to the top left if you move. Sometimes after refresh it loads correctly. Seems like the JS is not properly loaded every time. Screenshot attached and can be tested here: http://onlineluxuryapartments.com/eng/22/tallinn/tallinn-struuve.html (click "VIEW LOCATION").
      thanks:)

          Sorry if this has been answered already, I couldn't find any reference to it.

          Is it possible to use getResources to retrieve the IDs for markers? I've tried several ways of doing this with no success. I assume there's an event sequence problem with this approach. The GetIDs snippet doesn't give me enough control for my particular needs. If there's a way to use getResources, please let me know.

          Really useful add-on by the way. Thx for the hard work.

            Hello, Coroico!

            Thank you for nice plugin!
            Could you help me please. I'm using Gmaps for modx evolution.
            Here you can see google map with markers - http://kitkitkit.ru/

            Here is snippet call

            [!Gmaps?
                &mapid=`Gmaps`
                &language=`ru`
                &mapLatLng=`56.8579292 , 35.9238282`
                &zoom=`8`
                &mapType=`TERRAIN`
                &mapWidth=`100%`
                &mapHeight=`500px`
                &scalable=`no`
                &markers=`c135`
                &mkrLatLngTv=`mkrLatLng`
                &mkrClick=`none`
                &mkrOver=`info`
                &mkrTextTv=`mkrContent`
                &mkrIconTv=`mkrImg`
                &iconDir=`assets/images/gmaps/`
                &infoboxAjaxId=`271`
            !]

            The content of the document id 271 is as follows:
            [!GmapsInfobox? &mkrTextTv=`mkrContent`!]

            Great snippet, but there are some problems

            1) mapType TERRAIN does not working. The only working type of map is Roadmap
            2) Ajax infowindow douse not working there is some javascript error
            3) scalable NO does not working. The map is always scalable.

            Thank you. I'm waiting forward for you answer [ed. note: well-design last edited this post 14 years, 11 months ago.]

              1) mapType TERRAIN does not working. The only working type of map is Roadmap
              You are right, this is a bug. To fix it open the snippet.gmaps.txt file and replace the line 57:

              $cfg['mapType'] = (($mt == 'ROADMAP') || ($mt == 'SATELLITE') ||  ($mt == 'HYBRID') ||  ($mt == 'TERRAIN ')) ? $mt : 'ROADMAP';

              by:
              $cfg['mapType'] = (($mt != 'ROADMAP') && ($mt != 'SATELLITE') && ($mt != 'HYBRID') && ($mt == 'TERRAIN ')) ? 'ROADMAP' : $mt;

              If have updated the demo site with this fix. see http://www.evo.wangba.fr/index.php?id=225

              2) Ajax infowindow douse not working there is some javascript error
              On my side I haven't js errors. I use
              [!Gmaps? &mapWidth=`100%` &mapHeight=`400px` &mapType=`TERRAIN` &mkrClick=`link` &mkrOver=`info` &mkrIconTv=`mkrImg` &infoboxAjaxId=`241` &markers=`c298`!]

              And on page 241:
              [!GmapsInfobox? &mkrTextTv=`mkrContent`!]

              Check that your document #271 uses a blank template.
              Which kind of js errors do you get ? I don't see a js error on your site.

              3) scalable NO does not working. The map is always scalable
              The behaviour is the same as on the google V3 demo site.
              Follow the "hello world" demo link at http://code.google.com/intl/en-EN/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial.html
              and look at the code source ( meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" )
              I can't do better than google maps smiley

                Thank you, Coroico, fot your answer.
                I really apreciated for that urgent reply and your help!

                Your bug fix really helped and now I can see with pleasure the Terrain view smiley
                "scalable NO does not working" is not so important issue and I think we can live without it for some time smiley

                Regarding the ajax infowindow, the situation is as follows:

                When I open web page http://kitkitkit.ru/ in Internet Explorer I see the map, and everithing is okey. But when the mouse moves over a certain marker on the google map, the ajax infowindow does not appear and I can see js error notification in Internet Explorer status bar.

                Here the error text:

                Line 50
                character position 13
                Error 'Undefined' Is Null or Not an Object
                code: 0
                url http://kitkitkit.ru

                document 271 uses a blank template.

                  And i would like to request a feature I think wiil be very usable.

                  It will be very very useful to implement such a thing.

                  When you edit document and marker information it is very inconvenient to enter marker coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) because it is very dificult to get it for website editors and to tell the true for me too smiley. It wiil be much more useful to have Google Map in TV where I can for example search the place by address or just surf the map and then point the place you need directly on map and automatically get the coordinates [ed. note: well-design last edited this post 14 years, 11 months ago.]

                    The error is due to a wrong httprequest answer.

                                var res = xmlHttp.responseText;
                                err = res.split("ERROR:")[1];

                    You have an error with your ajax handler (infobox)
                    You need to check all the elements used to set up the ajax answer:

                    - 271 is the correct id ?
                    - #271 document is a published document with a blank template and a web page text/html inline
                    - GmapsInfobox snippet has been installed
                    - the Tv "mkrContent" exists and is allowed for the template of marker document
                    - the content of the tv is correct and doesn't produce an error
