I just see the flags on my map on my demo site. So yes It is really coming soon.

I suggest first to publish this extra as 1.0.0 with the same functionalities as for Evo and then (if possible) in parrallel adds new features.

actually, i’m not sure yet how to implement a store-locator (don’t have a evo-install to test), but i imagined it could be done ontop of this. well... but i’ll have to play around with this.
i also just found the GoogleMapsTV Extra and figuring out if i could build upon it for my needs.. we’ll see. If you’re interested, i’ll keep you posted...

Yes I could be interested by your store-locator project. Let me know which features you need.

I would be willing to test the store-locator features as well. And donate to this great cause, ofcourse . Such an extra would be very useful.

You’ve probably checked all the Google articles already, but here are some guidelines for the project:

• http://code.google.com/intl/nl/apis/maps/articles/phpsqlsearch.html
• http://www.acehardware.com/mystore/storeLocator.jsp (great example of an advanced store locator)

It would be great if the store results could be formatted with a chunk, through a &tpl parameter. Take the Ace Hardware results page for example. The right section of the page contains the store results, with options to get driving directions to the store and to show the marker at the center of the map.
