Looking good! some great work.
Was impressed with your screen-casts.
Trying to do similar with YUI3 reset, fonts, grids, and modernizer was trying compass and sass but now thinking of less.js using reset + fonts + grids + base and a few lines of own Less took only 20msec to compile I was impressed.
Good luck with your efforts.

Looks similar to one I’m adapting with the able assistance of JWMSales. I’m no designer, and am even struggling with the .psd file he sent me with everything in its own layer (my fault, certainly no fault with the .psd file or the design!)

I’ve been using HTML 5/CSS 3 exclusively for some time now. There are so many ways you can style one basic layout that there’s just no excuse for "cookie-cutter" sites! All I need is a good designer to make the pretty stuff actually look pretty

@novolo,
Yes I have tried MIGX but I can only get it working with Revolution 2.1.0-rc2 so I am putting it on my future feature list...

What exactly do you mean here with "cookie-cutter"? Maybe I’ll find some time to design? BTW, MODX-Boilerplate is coming for Evo, too.
I meant that so many sites will use a template and at most change only the colors and images. It’s so easy to change more in the way of positioning and sizing using CSS that the same HTML layout can be made to look very different. Yes, design skills are very important for anyone who will be building more than one site. That’s why I’ve finally given it up, after nearly 10 years of web development, and started getting a real designer to work with me on the initial design phase. Even if I specify the HTML template to use, it’s amazing the difference some creative designing can make.
I have the same problem with quilting. The first quilt I made I designed myself, and it was dull and boring. Now I have a shelf full of books as well as several hundred megs of pictures and templates, and mixing and matching from those I do pretty well. So I’ve learned to accept that I’m a reasonably good developer, but definitely not a designer!
So I’ve just viewed source code and recognized that you don’t really use "HTML5". You don’t use the semantically purposed html5-elements in this theme. Maybe you could do that?
@novolo
thanks for the tip YUI3 reset not resetting HTML5 elements
I took a look at turbine but it does not use css syntax more like SASS no curly braces also was not sure exactly when you generate the css.
Seems to produce all the goodies of scss sass less etc. I suppose it is a matter of choice in the end.
When I first heard of sass and haml I saw no use for either it was only after viewing ExtJS 4.0 video’s that I saw the usefulness of sass/scss and compass.
The idea of client-side javascript handling the css I thought could lend itself for clients to change the color scheme with changing a few variables.
I was wondering if I could use system setting to accomplish same. This would be awesome IMHO.
