Hi Carsten!
This is a tricky one. But I think I’ve found a solution to the problems regarding the menus.
First - the border-bottoms that you find on all <a>-elements on the page. This stems from the IE6-only rule in the <head>-element
<!-- base href="http://kamura-trading.com/" --><!--[if lte IE 6]>
<style type="text/css" media="screen, tv, projection">
body { behavior: url(assets/js/csshover.htc); } /* hover:anything support */
#content { margin-left: 22px; } /* to avoid the BMH */
a,a:link { border-bottom-style: solid } /* becuase IE just doesn't dot */
</style>
<script type="text/javascript" src="assets/js/sleight.js"></script>
<![endif]-->
The problem is the declaration for border-bottom-style. This sets the style for every <a>-element on the page. For some reason IE6 interprets this declaration as setting a border-bottom as well. If you take away this line or add
to it the problem is solved.
Second - the problem with the wrong styles applied on the left menu stems from this rule:
.nav-sub li.mtitle {vertical-align: top; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 5px 4px 20px; color: rgb(100,100,100); text-transform: uppercase; font-weight: bold; font-size: 140%;}
I don’t know why IE6 can’t handle it but if you change this element to a <div>-element (or possibly a header) it works. (Strictly speaking it isn’t a <li>-element as it isn’t within a <ul>-element.)
Third - now there is only the long spaces between the menu items. This is IE having trouble with linebreaks in the code. If you remove the linebreaks in the side menu it should look as intended.
Hope this helps.
