    Hello,

I am a modx newbie, sorry for that first typical post, but I cannot get it work.

Installation of 1.0.0 on XAMPP 1.6.4 worked fine, everything ok and done.

    Problem with login in /manager
First try without renaming ht.access: effect: nothing happens when submitting the form, the login is desplayed again...

Then renaming both ht.access in root and in /manager.
    Effect: Error 500

I have spent some time on searching in the code and in the forum, but I didn’t find a solution.

    Any suggestions?

    Ralph

The 500 errors are explained here.

Manager login issues are different and you’ll probably need to provide more information, like what happens when you try to login...

        Hello,

I am a newbie at this too and getting same problem on a Windows 2008 Server.
The first few process went successfully and all install was completed without much problem.
When it came to manager login - I input the user name and password and nothing happens.

You can have a look at: http://cms.itlweb.com/manager/

When I check the server and get the following:
Gives me the login screen - then when i insert the user name and password it pops up with a window.
        Title is: Message from Webpage

Exclamation in a triangle - says Location: http://cms.itlweb.com/manager

What could be the problem with this ?

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

        Best regards - NICK

            Is this Apache or IIS?

              Hi Jason,

Forgot to mention that. It is running on IIS 7.

Look forward to some fixes soon.

                Ok,

I have solved the error 500, it was a missing configuration of Apache’s rewrite engine.
So the part of the error 500 is solved.

But when I enter user and password simply nothing happens, the login page is displayed again. Empty.
Seems to be the same problem like OpenGeek.

I think I drop modx, sorry for that.

I do not and will not use IIS, ever. We need someone on the Revo dev team who uses it if we’re going to support it to be honest. If someone who uses IIS is working with Revo, maybe they have an idea what the problem is?

Same problem like OpenGeek? I have no problem like that, so not sure what you mean...

                      Hi Jason,

Is there any alternative to using IIS ?
I am installing on a Windows 2008 Server with PHP and My SQL as mentioned above.

Or how we I get someone on the Revo dev team to help me out with this issue ?
Modx CMS looks really good - and i would definately like to get it working on my server.

Look forward to some solutions or help from Revo soon.
