Thx BobRay,
I never tried BkupModx, probably because it’s not integrated by default into modx.

Thx BobRay,
I never tried BkupModx, probably because it’s not integrated by default into modx.
It’s relatively new and *very* easy to install. Just copy the files, edit the config file, and paste the module code into a new module called BkupModx.
You may have to play with the permissions some to get it to work and keep the config file and .zip file secure from prying eyes.
I’d just like to add a note about onesmarthost - been running modx sites with them for a while now and Aaron and his team do a great job.
Support is always fast and above what I get from any other provider and performance of Modx on their servers is great.
I’ve never actually posted recommendation about a provider of any service before, but I’m so pleased with Aaron’s support that I felt I had to get him a mention in these forums!
If you want a UK provider and are happy running on Wintel these are the guys.

Thanks for the positive feedback BobbyD
Have to shout Aaron out also.
I had a site hosted on a unix box with custom snippets and modules.
I was able to get the site moved, setup and tested in a day with Aaron’s help.
The site is now happy at home on a Windows machine, all good.
Very good service and great support.
