revo website only loads when logged in manager??

Hey Guys,

Set a client site live a few days ago but keep having problems were the website just wont load! You can access the manager login and when logged in load the website up in another tab and loads fine?? But of cause any visitors cant see the site, major problem!?!?

Any ideas whats causing this? More improtantly how to fix this issue??

Your subpages show up fine. It’s just the homepage that’s blank.

Hmmm... seems like we were having this problem with an earlier version of Revo, but I thought it was fixed. What version are you using?

As a temporary fix you could try exporting the homepage to a static file, then use .htaccess to rewrite requests for / to that file -- but that’s not a long-term fix obviously.

Well we had this problem yesterday so upgraded to the latest version 2.1.3 but still having it, is there a proper fix for this?

Your work around seems a little technical for me.

Sounds like this may be a recurrence of this issue http://bugs.modx.com/issues/3111 but that was fixed in 2.0.8. Try making the homepage uncacheable and see if that helps. If so, this may be a similar bug.

Thanks for the advice, I tried what you said but still no luck, im getting shouted at something chronic from the client at the moment...:-(

It’s working fine for me, check your error logs see if theres anything that might give some info about the problem.

It’s working fine for me, too. Think either it has been fixed or is a caching problem on your side.
