    Hi Piranha

This URL issue is very different to what we experienced. The FURLs trimming characters off, seems very very odd to me...

We didn’t actually use PHP 5.2.9 and we’re running 2.08 but I’d definitely recommended upgrading to 5.3.3 if you can as we have had no errors at all since.

    Cheers
    Jon

      Thanks Jon.
Your right I was experiencing a different issue that I believe I have now resolved. It had to do with the "alias_trim_chars".

      Thanks again.

Are you sure this isn’t related to the standard "base" tag? Every time you use mod_rewrite, virtual URLs get wonky. Using an HTML base tag set to the root of your set clears this up, but it usually affects 2nd tier stuff too (i.e. anything that’s not at the base).

Do you have apache configured to do any url rewrites of any kind? And does your site work as expected when friendly urls are disabled? I haven’t looked at the other URL options... but I know with CodeIgniter, it had a way of filtering URL parameters too that sometimes jacked up requests.

              1) base tag on every page
              2) have not changed the default htaccess provided with modx install. no extra rewrites added.
              3) site works great, but i need the urls correct for SEO.

              thanks for trying to help.

Wow... that is frustrating. What is your system setting for friendly_alias_restrict_chars_pattern ?

                Mine is this:
                /[\0\x0B\t\n\r\f\a&=+%#<>"~:`@\?\[\]\{\}\|\^'\\]/

Can you verify that Evo runs on this exact same server with nested directories 3 levels deep?

                  looks the same.

i have also tried revo 2.4 and 2.7. same issue.

yes, evo works fine at 3 levels on the same server. i am in the process of transferring all data to evo for production.

Man, that’s so frustrating... sounds like there may be some bug in there that’d take a herculean effort to find. If you have the Revo site in a state where I could poke around, send me a PM and I’ll take a closer look.
