    I am using "Use Friendly Alias Path" and it works great for 2 levels, but at the 3rd level it is not including the Alias Path for every other resource.

    Meaning:

    • mysite.com/one/two/ = Works Great! Every link to resource includes Alias Path
    • mysite.com/one/two/three = Only works for every other resource at that level. It is not a odd or even numbered resource thing either. I have two different Alias Path "directories" and in one it is the odd resources that don’t include the path and in the other it is the even numbered resources.

    I have attached my Friendly URL settings.

    Version: MODx Revolution 2.0.8-pl (traditional)

    Any ideas?

      still looking for help with this one.

      i never had an issue like this with evo. many implementations with several levels. i would hate to have to abandon revo and recreate all my content in evo.

      i have tried playing with the "menu index #" for the resources at the 3rd level just to see what would happen and for a resource that previously does not generate the url path i duplicated the "menu index #" of a resource that did have the path generated. it will then generate the path for that resource. however, the copied resource no longer gets the url path generated.

      desperate.

        we’re experiencing the same issue here - did you find a solution?

          Nope. Still have the issue and not sure where to start. Hoping someone more versed in Modx will chime in.

          Please let me know if you figure it out. I will do the same in reverse.

          Thanks.

            I think we’ve found something here!!

            We’ve got another instance on another server running a newer version of PHP (5.3.x) and it works fine... Noted that Revolution docs say "MODX Revolution does not support PHP 5.1.6 due to faulty PDO drivers in that version"... Low and behold the server with the issue is running php 5.1.6

            IN other words... you might want to check your PHP version! ;-)

                On checking the documentation actually says that Revolution requires "PHP version 5.3.3+" so hoepfully that’ll solve it for you!

                Good luck!

                  that is recommended, not required. required is PHP version 5.1.1+ (excluding 5.1.6/5.2.0). i think 5.2.9 i am running should be fine.

                  regardless, i will give 5.3 a try.

                  thanks.

                    You are indeed correct - I hope 5.3.x solves your issues! smiley

                      @chitown
                      Did upgrading to php 5.3+ solve the issue. I am experiencing an issue where the url alias changes after I save (modx 2.0.7pl, php v. 5.2.9). For example the url alias of "home" will change to "ome". I think it has something to do with another url alias also being "home" although it is under a different folder. I have also set "allow duplicate alias" to "yes".

                      Here is an example of my structure:

                      Global Home
                      US Site
                      --> home (alias: home)
                      --> about
                      --> contact
                      UK Site
                      --> home (alias: ome)
                      --> about

                      This is happening with other alias’ as well that contain part of another url alias. (alias: page-abc and page-def. page-def will become "age-def")
