    2.0.7 said to increase the manager speed but this is not true. At least not for navigating through pages..
    Hope it will get better in the future..

    In the meantime, is there anything I can do for speed up it?

    bye

      Do you have the compression set to on? It’s significantly faster for me than 2.0.6.

      Also, what browser are you on? What OS? Version? Server environment? Etc?

        Hi splittingred, excuse me, you’re right.

        Where do I set the compression?

            Okay, please try to enable compression. You got to set it to "on" in htaccess (it’s preconfigured at the bottom).
            And try to use Opera11 as see how fast it is.

              Thanks for this. I was just sitting here feeling disappointed that 2.0.7 didn’t really seem much faster smiley

                Do you mean this in the .htaccess file?
                #php_flag zlib.output_compression On
                #php_value zlib.output_compression_level 5

                I too am experiencing very slow page loads especially in my control panel. I am using:
                Web Server:
                * PHP/5.2.15
                * Apache 2.2.17
                * System: Linux 2.6.32.28-grsec #4 SMP
                Database:
                * MySQL version 5.1.52
                Browser:
                * Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.8999
                MODx Version:
                * Revolution 2.0.7-pl

                The server my site is on only hs 8 low drain websites and is always very fast. So I am wondering why my pages load slowly as well.

                I have two websites with v1.0.2 codename: rev 6066 installed on the same server as the site in question, and both of these MODx control panel pages load very fast. Is it just me, or is Revolution 2.0.7 much slower? Any other ideas as to faster load times?

                  1. I meant the System Settings ’compress_js’ and ’compress_css’.
                  2. Use any other browser than IE8. IE8 has horrendously slow load times with JS. I recommend Google Chrome.

                    So:

                    1. They are currently setted to ’yes’: should I set them to ’no’?
                    2. And is firefox too slow too?

                    Should I also accept the other suggestion to change the htaccess?

                    #php_flag zlib.output_compression On
                    #php_value zlib.output_compression_level 5

                      Hey, as soon as I activated my ht.access > .htaccess, manager and frontend were completely broken...
