sherlock - not sure how you’re fairing at this point, but if you look at the post about moving your site and get a white screen, I just went through a frustrating move...
Here is my recommendation about moving...
Upload your original Revo Instal download to the new server and run installation to completion. Next, add a second database to your host and upload your site’s database.
Once your db is on the server, open your /core/config/config.inc.php file and change the database connections to the database you developed instead of the empty one you just installed. Once you do this, you should be able to login to the manager and see all your docs and files. You should also see the data part of your design without images and styles when you visit a page.
If all is working correctly after the steps above, upload your assets, core/components and any other extra directories you may of created. This method worked for me brilliantly.
Make sure to delete your cache before exporting your database and files.
