He’s got his front end and his back end confused. For your information, the "front end" is the web site itself. The "back end" is the part that manages the CMS. This is basic terminology for any application; front-end is what gets displayed, back-end is what controls and generates the front-end display.
And no, there won’t be any Flash MODx Manager interface.
hi
@ rawmantick
sincerely, i can’t see what would change (well, yes i do, i’ll say it later...) if the back end were in Flash.
actually a back-end is no more than forms used to dispacth content between db tables and/or server directories.
if you’re looking for a MODx like cms that can manage complex content you won’t avoid db tables -> installation, the back end layout being in Flash or not
what would change, yes, here we are, is that you could hardly implement your own features to the manager...
of course, a flash driven cms could be delivered with the fla source and, if you are a Flash expert you could add features and then recompile the whole stuff but, except if you’re planning to work exclusively with xml files (then modx is not the solution for you) reinventing a xml db like structure, you would also have to write the php to do the server side job.
Just imagine how complicated every things would become...
