Italic button missing in TinyMCE

I’m using version 1.0.2 of modX and for some reason TinyMCE comes wiuthout an italic button!

Anyone know how I can get this added easily? It looks a bit crap having to say to a user that TinyMCE comes without a way of doing italics!

Thanks

I have MODx 1.0.3 and TinyMCE has italics

Ok, but my version is 1.0.2 and I don’t want to have to do an entire upgrade / reinstall (especially as the site is live) just for italic support. Is there another way?

I would imagine that you could add the button in the plugin configuration.

bold,italic,underline,strikethrough,sub,sup,|,|,blockquote,bullist,numlist,outdent,indent,|,justifyleft,justifycenter,justifyright,justifyfull,|,styleselect,formatselect,|,styleprops

I’ve had a look in the code for the plugin, but can’t see that line anywhere...

Unless that line needs adding in which case where would I place it in the plugin code?

In the main site configuration, in the Interface and Features tab, there are fields to edit the buttons for the resource editing copy. For front-end use, the fields are in the plugin’s configuration tab.

That’s the weird thing... I looked in the configuration and this is the code for the row of buttons:

As you can see italic is in there, but it doesn’t show the button in the editor for some reason???

If you have a copy of MODx 1.0.3 you can overwrite just tinymce folder and the browser folder on manager/media/browser, then you can update TinyMCE configuration in the manager and it should work.

Hm... it’s getting more mysterious- I thought it was just 1.0.2 but the site is in fact 1.0.3 already!

I also uploaded / replaced the tinymce and browser folders with the versions from ModX 1.0.4 but this hasn’t made the italic button appear either.
