The trick with Ditto is to tell it which document is the parent of all your item documents (&parents=`<document id>` parameter), then to create your own mini-template (we call them tpl to avoid confusion with the main site templates) in a chunk, and tell Ditto to use that for formatting each item in its list (&tpl=`name-of-chunk` parameter).
Beware! those are
backticks and not single quotes or apostrophes in the snippet’s parameters!
