Additionally, one major downside to ebooks is the ridiculous amount of piracy there is that ends up cheating the author out of a good chunk of revenue. There are tons of websites out there where people share ebooks that they’ve bought or pilfered.

Actually, if you read comments on the above threads, there are authors that actually want (some almost encourage) people to "pirate"/share the ebooks because they have found that the sale of books vs. ebooks is like 17:1. And an ebook entices people to buy the paper copy, specially tech books where sometimes is better to actually have the paper on hand...

Doesn’t Amazon have a program where you can create your own book and it prints on demand? I am guessing this would be regionally sensitive so that the shipping costs wouldn’t be so ridiculous?

I think Lulu.com prints on demand too...

An amazing future would be to have books in ebook or other digital format, buy them on the internet and then just go to your "corner printshop" an pick the book up freshly baked.... errr
freshly printed... I am just dreaming!!

Yes, Amazon’s CreateSpace was launched as a competitor to Lulu.

        Dear All,

        I am Antano Solar John.

The author of the book you have been discussing about.

I have read your comments and you have been very kind.

Antano, I recently bought your book and have found it to be a great intro to MODx. I’m about half way through but have hit a problem with the Wayfinder chapter. I have followed the instructions very closely on pages 119 & 120 to create a simple Wayfinder menu, but unfortunately the style sheet doesn’t seem to work and I’m just getting the dull list of links as my menu, not the proper green-box menu that the example is trying to show. I think there may be a bug in the style sheet and was hoping you could help me work it through.

The author has only that one post so I doubt he will be answering such questions.

You might want to start a fresh detailed thread in the appropriate forum section...
