    Andy,
    Create a file named test.php with this in it...
    <?php
    phpinfo();
    ?>

    Upload it to the root folder and view it at www.your-domain.com/test.php, then report back with the session info.

        Hi Andy,

        Thanks for that the section of interest is this:

        session.save_handler files files
        session.save_path .\ .\

        This is an invalid session save path, if you contact your web host with a copy of the link to php ini and ask them how you set this to an actual path on the server / within your webspace with write access you should be all set.

        Let us know how you get on.

          Just one last thing you should ask them how you turn off:

          register_globals

          As this is a big security risk.

          Thanks Aaron

            Hello Aaron

            It seems as if the problem maybe fixed! I’m just wondering if you could do a final check on the test file to see if all looks ok.

            Your help has been much appreciated.

              Hi Andy,

              It’s looking much better, you just need to ask them to turn off register_globals in php.ini for you as well as this is a big security risk.

              http://www.canmoremedia.com/index.php?id=2 shows an error

              Does your MODx File Manager work ok?

              Thanks Aaron

                Hi Aaron

                Thanks for checking it out. I’ve forwarded the security issue to my host.

                The only thing I’ve noticed that isn’t working is the blog link. From the top of the page this goes to a strange error message. Is there a file missing from the installation or is this caused by the register_globals issue? The File Manager seems to work ok - ie. I can edit, save!

                Thanks
