It looks like a regular "out of memory" error. I wonder if your Ditto call is showing a page that also contains the same Ditto call. That would give you an infinite loop that uses up all available memory, then crashes things.

well, I deleted one letter, and it worked lol...
        [!Ditto? &config=`blog` &documents=`27` &tpl=`tech.tpl` &tagData=`techTags` &tags='computer`!]

Is what I originally had, and when I deleted the s in documents, it worked and displayed the No Documents to Display... Should I take out the S in all of them, because I currently have a similar line of code in Mobile, General and Technology pages.

I’m still kinda confused with all of the calls and snippets, I was able to get the NewsPublisher snippet to work, but I really like this pkBlog, but i’m still at a lose as to why it currently isn’t working...

&documents is the correct parameter. I still suspect a circular reference (that went away because you’re no longer displaying anything with the Ditto call).

is there anything I should look out for?
Cause atm, i’m gonna goto sleep before I make a mistake somewhere, haha. I think I’m getting Ditto down, but pkBlog is alittle bit harder, i’ll look over everything I typed tomorrow, cause atm i’ve only got four ditto calls going, the one ofr Technology, General, Mobile, and Computers

I’ve not looked a the details of the Ditto calls above yet, but I think one thing about the structure of what I’m working on needs to be clarified. For categorized sections such as News above, my intention is to have the subsection pages as children of News, and another direct child that acts as container for ALL the items in news. (see screenshot) The subsection pages then use the tags to display their subsets, e.g.
              [!Ditto?parents=`16` &tagData=`acNews` &tags=`pupils` &config=`news`!]

With this arrangement, the editor of the section only has to go to one page to create or update stories in any of the subsections, and can reassign them to other subsections by changing an option button. It also makes life easier for any back-end superuser, who can easily find all the section’s stories in one place without reading the section editor’s mind, should the need arise to clear up a mess.

I’m working on a demo site with such a structure, and may be able to give a link to it later today. Slightly higher priority at the moment, though - setting this site up has highlighted some dependencies on PHx for error handling and re-editing, so I have to fix that first. sad

Thanks for keeping up your efforts with pkBlog, I think it will emerge the better for this feedback.

Glad this is helping you develop pkBlog further, haha. Sorry if I’m asking mundane questions, new to MODx, and eager to learn and set it up, lol

Thanks for all your help KP, I’ll wait until the demo site is live before I start messing with things again, so I can see an example of how to set it up (However, that Image showed a few things, so i’ll try to have my pages emulate that setup)

Thanks Kongondo, I’ve been reading the modx wiki, and bobsguides, but haven’t found the other two.

Is the demo site working? I’ve been trying to get this to work, but no matter what I do, for some reason the post-edit page isn’t creating news articles/pages
