Having trouble installing - nothing happens

Quote from: daveatdo at Jul 23, 2009, 04:38 AM

Hi K,

When the installation screen asked me for the database details I assumed I’d have to create one manually, so I did.

I’ve not done anything with the database other than create it.

I’m going to try SmashingRed’s suggestion of removing all the files and uploading a new set. I use Filezilla, so it may have corrupted something.

Cheers,
DA

OK, try that first.

Any luck with this yet. Looking forward to see if you got it installed.

Cheers,
Jay

Hi Jay,

Sorry. Been busy the last couple of days and didn’t get chance to try it again.

I removed all the files from my server, downloaded a new zip file from the modx website and uploaded them again.

Now installed OK.

Just need to work out what to do with it now! Ha!

Thanks for all your help!

DA

Oh,

And thank you Kongondo too...
