About a year and a half ago I was asked to build a site that the client could update without any intervention. So, I did some googling and found a school district that was using a "Content Management System" to manage their site. I took a look at the website and saw a huge potential. So, I went to the Joomla website and read that it was Open Source, community supported, and FREE! I was very excited to say the least. It looked very promising until I downloaded it. Let’s just say it wasn’t very noob friendly.

I immediately went back to google, however, armed with good search terms. Needless to say I eventually came across modx after having spent two days sifting through the choices. I chose ModX not because someone suggested it, not because of some puffed up rating or sycophantic modxer. I chose modx because it made sense and was very easy to learn and use. Within a couple hours I had put up my first website and was shocked at the power I had at my fingertips.

I am indeed grateful for the ModX development team and community for making my experience with ModX both enjoyable and fruitful.
