That’s strange since MODx doesn’t restrict how your site looks. Most likely it is a CSS issue. Are the CSS for the static and the MODx versions of the site same or different?
/k
only changes to CSS are for content and tv id changes.
I think it is something QuickEditor is doing to the code but it isn’t something I can see in the code.

Hmm..it’s not only the resizing that is a problem....I see the right column divs are being pushed inwards to the left thereby pushing the left column ones too. I’ll check and see what the issue might be....but can’t promise much for now...
I don’t use QuickEdit but I would have thought it would affect the site only with respect to javascript conflicts (and only if one was logged in as a manager and viewing the site)
Meanwhile..confirm that the content and tv id changes you made are actually being referenced correctly in the CSS

I’m seeing code significant code changes for each version, and I’m not going to even start to try and figure out what craziness is going on for the layout.
from a high level view with firebug this is what I see

my guess is the WYSIWYG editor that put it together has things dependent on each other for positioning. If you like I can put a junior developer on this and have it recoded and straightened out in about 2 hours
Yeah.. QuickEdit is the whole reason I ported this site to MODx... My client wants to be able to change content but doesn’t know what a browser is....
Usually in those instances... it take about a week before they decide a web admin is worth her weight in gold (oh gods.. I WISH!), but with a single page site using only two very limited bits of text... yeah.
Thanks for the look see... yes it is recognizing them. Neither of them are using js outside of whatever is applied by QuickEditor.

Eddy,
I am sure you are right concering the wysiwyg. I am not a coder (yet.. obviously) so I do use one.
I would be very interested in seeing the outcome of that... It would assist my learning curve to no end.

One of the things I have come to realize since starting to mess with MODx a couple of days ago is that it doesn’t need to be as hard as it is...
But my coding competency is not yet caught up with my need... getting there and have a strong learning curve... but don’t have the time to ground up this one, so hoping for a bit of help.
