Hi,
I just noticed a decrease in website performance and I think the problem is with the size of the siteCache.idx.php.
It reached 674KB. The site has lots of pages. The site_content table has 1,758 entries.
I know about the 5000 limitation and would like to know what steps do I have to take to improve the speed.
So far I can only try to optimize the snippets.
Are there any other ideas out there?
Thx
Recap:
1. Optimize snippets. See Creating Snippets on Wiki
2. Remove snippets that are not used Eg. WebLogin, Breadcrumbs etc
3. Delete chunks that are not used. Eg. WebLoginSideBar, etc
4. Remove comments/instructions from snippets.
Thx,
I will try it asap. I never expected the site to grow so fast.
I have first to exclude other possibilities. Some pages are generated in ms and other in more then 10 seconds. Not sure why? The pages are similar.
Hi OpenGeek,
The slow query log is not activated. I’n not sure is the queries because the page where I have a big query is fast.
The page with the problem is just a simple page. No snippets just 1 chunk and it is cached.
The page id is 1544 but another page in the same container has the id 530 and loads very slow.
I am under the impression that the slow down happens only for the files in 1 parent container. In that container I have a container containing the contacts which are about 300. But on the page above 1544 I do not load the contact list.
Not sure what to think anymore...

Are you talking about the manager loading speed, or how fast they load for users on the front-end?
I can clearly confirm that some pages load in 10s and other in ms.
Other users are experiencing the same behaviour.
What is interesting is that some pages always load in ~10s. From time to time other pages will load slow but not always.
Do you think that this is a server issue? Would the ID of the document and the cache file have something to do with this?
Any ideas on how to debug?
Thx
