[Resolved]Friendly URL's working on a sub-domain but not on main domain?

So what should I do? Reinstalling it does not work, all the instructions you gave don’t seem to fix the problem, is there something else I can do like change something in the MySql, if that’s possible, I have never worked with MySql before so if this seems like a stupid idea I am sorry. I am not sure how exactly MySql works, I just know it stores info in a database.

Maybe there is some over ride code I can use?

Also I have contacted my host to see if it’s something on there side but there support is slow so I need to wait a while, just have to see....

I’m not exactly a FURL expert so maybe other can chime in. I notice that the Forum link and the Home link, the only ones that work, have a slash on the end of the url when you hover over them. I’m not sure where that could come from or what it means but it might be a clue.

BTW, do you have this in your template? You should.

Putting the "/" in front of the url does not do anything, I also do have the:
in the head section.

Thanks for your help BobRay, maybe someone else can help me with this problem or my host will reveal something that is causing the problem.

How are you generating the menu on your page?  Is it Wayfinder or hardcoded in the template?  If it’s the latter, could you paste the menu code in here? If it’s Wayfinder, paste your Wayfinder call here.

It’s hardcoded:


It’s located in a chunks called "{{navbar}}"

I then uses wayfinder as SiteMap tool:
Example: http://team-tactics.co.cc/index.php?id=5(<-- and as you can see you can view any page if you do the "index.php?id=#" but the site is almost completely based of friendly URLS so that is why I need to get them to work or I need to relink all the pages.)

Yes, you can, no worries ...you’ll be amazed at what people have used it for..calendars even!. Sorry, am not helping with the problem at hand.

Use [~1~] to link docID 1 and when turning on/off FURL see what happens to the [~1~] in the ouput.

Mrhaw is correct. All links in MODx should *always* be in the form [~##~], where ## is the document ID of the doc you are linking to. That way MODx makes the correct links for you automatically.
