Hi,
I have been using Modx for a while without any problems.
Lately I have moved my installation to my local pc and did a few page updates.
I’m using some of the usual snippets, like the one for breadcrumbs.
However, I don’t have anything showing as breadcrumbs and when viewing the source code there is nothing at all in the snippet place.
I double checked few times already for typo and cached pages, but it is ok.
My installation is running locally on my pc under MAMP (Mac).
Do you know what I missed as it drives me crazy?
Thanks.
1) Make sure that they syntax is correct [!Breadcrumbs!] and backticks `` not single quotes ’’.
2) Typo: the name of the snippet needs to be an exact match for the snippet name.
3) Did you install the snippets? They are only installed if you select them during the install.
If nothing is displayed, it is commonly an indication that either their is a typo or the snippet does not exist.
in the web page I’m calling the chunk {{header_nav_breadcrumb}}
That chunk contains [!Breadcrumbs? &maxCrumbs=`3` &showHomeCrumb=`1` &linkTextField=`pagetitle` !]
In the snippets, I have "Breadcrumbs - 1.0.1 Configurable breadcrumb page trail navigation." installed.
So I’m really puzzled...
Try putting the snippet call directly in the template to see if that works.
I put the snippet directly into the template, still didn’t work.
When looking at the source of the page, the place where the snippet was is just empty.
Make sure you have this in your template:
<base href="[(site_url)]" />
If that doesn’t help, find the Breadcrumbs snippet and put this line near the top:
echo "<br>In Breadcrumbs Snippet<br>"
See if that line shows up on the page.
I have put the first code in my template right after the <body> tag.
I also inserted the 2nd code in the snippet after the php opening tag.
Snippet is still not working and the text is not displayed. It’s like the snippet is not called it seems.

It should be between <head> and </head>
Oups, ok I moved it.
Same thing.
would someone be able to have a quick look at it?
I can provide URL and access details.
Thanks
