Okay, I did the upgrade install and that fixed the site_url issue but the content for the tabs on the products pages still won’t load (it’s an AJAX call). I get an error about access to a restricted URI being denied that I wasn’t getting before.

Okay, I’ve discovered that if you click on one of the links under Products in the main nav and wait for it to load (or not load, I guess I should say) and then click the same link a second time it will load. WTF?

You can’t click on them at all in IE7. Looks like some JS funkiness but I don’t know the solution.

Yeah, I’m working on that too. The drop-down menu loses focus as soon as the mouse moves over the part that has Flash beneath it in IE. No idea why. It’s fine in every other browser. Spent hours googling it today and not only have failed to find a solution but also have failed to find even a single mention of anyone else having this problem ever.

LOL. We have the exact same problem in the MODx Revolution Manager. smiley

SplittingRed might have an answer (I certainly don’t).

Well at least I know I’m not the only person to ever have this problem now. smiley I think I’m going to serve some alternate, non-flash content to IE for the time being until I can figure it out. Would definitely love to know how you guys wind up fixing it. Maybe I’ll PM SplittingRed. Do you think he’d mind?

I can’t really speak for him, but my guess is he would probably rather answer here so others can benefit from the information. If you don’t see anything here after a while, I don’t think he’d mind a PM.

Looks to me as if your problem is a mixture of domains (www.mediashout.com, mediashout.com, secure.mediashout.com, and it looks like you have a few www.foxycart.com references in that js file as well). Making Ajax calls across multiple domains is a quick shortcut to the land of epic fail, especially in IE. Make sure that your base href and other site URL declarations (.htaccess, MODx admin configs, etc.) are all the same and that you are not trying to call your secure subdomain from the regular one or vice-versa.

Yeah, the AJAX calls should only be within mediashout.com or www.mediashout.com and their relative links so it does’t matter which. The problem with the AJAX calls though as inexplicably resolved itself. I can only guess that it had something to do with the fact that we recently updated the DNS to take the site live and it hadn’t fully propagated or something. Not sure. Glad it’s working now though. Still trying to fix this IE drop-down menu over Flash thing though.
