Hi!
I am not getting the Server Error anymore I did the following but I dont wat to continue without consulting yo guys.
I re-download the zip installation file extract the folder, but this time I used a different FTP software to upload my files, after doing that I went to the intall/index.php file on the server and I am not getting any error message, but before I continue I would like to know which folders or files need to have certain permissions, so far all the folder have 755, and all the files have 644, are these permissions ok?
Thanks!!!!

Those permissions seem fine, you do need to set some files to 777 though
http://modxcms.com/installation-and-configuration.html
Note to *nix users: When you have put the unzipped files and folders in your website, make sure that the /assets/cache (and its files), /assets/export and /assets/images folders are world-writeable (777). You also may need to create an empty file in the manager/includes directory named config.inc.php and make it world-writable. After the installation is completed, change the permissions on that file to read-only. If your installation is running PHP with suexec you do not want these world-writable permissions.
I followed the instructions regarding the file and folder permissions, and I got a successful installation.
I am exited of staring up with MODx
Thanks everybody for all your help.
