    Hello!

    I just made the base code for the background of the page to see how it looks in modx and uploaded it. I’ve ran into a problem I just cannot manage to solve.

    I used the modxcms page and just built in the template into ’Ajax’. The problem is that the FIREFOX makes the page all twisted up, while the internet explorer shows the collums, some text and the menu looking allright.

    The link to the page is: http://ddos.si/modx/index.php?id=16

    I would really appreciate some help, because I don’t know how to fix this... I actually cannot continue with the rest if I don’t get this fixed....

    Thank you very much in advance!

      Hmm.. anyone ?

      ITs not like you have to code it for me.. just an explanation would do, so I try to solve it..

      Anyone else had problems when viewing the page in FIREFOX, but in IE worked just fine for example ?

        hi,

        it would be way easier if you would use clear css-declarations like #wrapper, #navigation, #content etc. to get the head around #m2, #noga etc. is quite difficult for me. i’m a bit in a hurry right now, but i’ll have a look at it later

        regards, j

          It also does not work in Safari. Doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the code. You are not using the <base> tag tha MODx likes to see. In IE6 it braks apart as well for me.

          I think that there is a problem accessing the CSS file and background images. I get a control panel login if I try.

            Hej, uh I see that, I will take time in the evening and re-named it. I made those css-declarations in my own language actually so when I see the declaration I know excatly what I mean, and on the other hand I’m fairly new in coding, soo..
            otherwise I can just translate the current declarations..
            Thank you for your help, hopefully we will manage to work something out...

            Hm.. yes, I really don’t know why it works only in IE. Could be a problem with the ’slicing the images’ ? I’ve ’cut’ images like I usually cut for a cms, so that the page is enabled to wider if neccesary...

            I didn’t understood your last sentence... You get a control panel if you try... (try what?)

            Thanks to everyone for current support!

              grin *edit: ups, sorry,of course i don’t know if the id-names have a clear meaning, i’m not a native english speaker myself, so using ids such as #content etc., just make things easier. sorry if i sounded ignorant grin

                Hi!

                i guess you need to insert a clearing div in front of noga:
                </ul>
                </div>
                <div style="clear:both;"></div>
                </div>
                <div id="noga">
                </div>
                </body></html>

                  Nono, I didn’t mean as if you were arrogant, not at all, I just wanted to explain it to you.. laugh
                  We miss understood, I really didn’t even think about smth like that, I really appreciate all the help.

                  The other thing is that I didn’t do a lot with the code actually, I just inserted the background, because lots of things has still to come, but If I don’t find a solution how to fix this, is just useless to continue if later the content, the pictures, the upper menu etc. won’t be shown properly.. (That doesn’t mean I gave up easily)

                  Here is the whole package:
                  http://www.speedyshare.com/691461601.html (included images, css etc..)

                  Some explanations

                  ’glava’ - head
                  ’skatla’ - box
                  ’sredina’ - middle (the content where writes: Ajax bla bla)
                  ’m2’ - is the menu... (on the right side)
                  ’noga’ - the bottom (the lowest part of the page)

                  If neccessary I’ll translate all the ’’code’’ (the things that are in my home language) in english.. So it might be more clear if someone wants to check it and help out..

                  **Btw could it be that the page is not properly shown in FIREFOX or SSAFARI because I used a fixed ratio:
                  - at the ’head image’: background-attachment:fixed;
                  Or does this has nothing to do with the page showin’ like it does?

                  Regards, I know its a long post... I just want to tell as much as I can..

                  Thanks for ones that are helping...!
