Check the MODX date_timezone System Setting and the PHP timezone setting (I think you'll see it in PhpInfo()). If you have SiteCheck, it will check for mismatches in the date/timezone settings and character set mismatches in the DB.

    On the MySQL error: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20964269/1214-the-used-table-type-doesnt-support-fulltext-indexes.

I'd suggest upgrading MySQL to at least Version 5.6, (which came out 5 years ago) or higher -- or MariaDB 10 or higher. I think it's unlikely that the MySQL error is causing trouble, but I could be wrong.

It's fairly common that only the host can modify mod_security.

FWIW: My list of MODX-Friendly Hosts.

    Thanks again Bob.
I think the MySQL version IS the issue actually.
The site was original built using MariaDB 10.2
So when trying to import into a server using 5.5, it wouldn't play ball.

The host 1&1 said (when I finally got through on the phone after being on hold for about 20mins!) that their shared hosting platform couldn't be upgraded to any version higher than 5.5!!! Wow!!

The customer was adamant that they use 1&1 for some reason - but I have told them that's it's not going to work unless the software is upgraded on the server. Thanks for the list of hosts. I have another good one to add to the pot which i recommend to anyone in the UK - They are called Sharpstack. https://www.sharpstack.co.uk/
Customer service is second to none - and the servers are fast and most importantly, always up to date!! (I'm not being paid to say this by the way - I just like to sing their praises).

    :)
