I’ve spent ages trying to get this to work with NewsPublisher.

What might not be clear to everyone is that both the news template and the publishing template must have access to the richtext template variables.

I assumed that the news would need it, but the publisher didn’t as it could look up the definition without needing access.

It’s magically started working, except for the "missing news content" error, which I’m sure I saw elsewhere on the forums.... *goes off to look*

-- edit. Before I go, a clarification of the things that weren’t clear to me. Some of these are clear from the text above, now that I know, but I still wasn’t sure before trying them.

You must insert the letters "tv" into the snippet call, before the case-sensitive template variable name.
You must check that both the TV type and TV widget are "RichText", with an appropriate editor selected.
You will need to customise your form, by using a chunk, and REMOVE THE TEXTAREA block, replacing it with just the TV call. This one was wierd for me, as I expected just the (empty?) content to be inserted here, but the whole TinyMCE div was there and ready to go.
