In http://www.evolution-docs.com/documentation/administration/upgrading par. 12 starts with this sentence (bold from me): "Finally, change the permissions of your config.inc.php file in "/manager/includes" folder back to read only. If you had written it down before, use that same CHMOD setting now, or try setting to "444".".
Changing it back implies as far as I can imagine one of the two:
    1. I have to change the permission to "writable" before I run the /install/index.php (which is not mentioned) or
    2. The "upgrading wizard" changes it.
Otherwise no "change back" is necessary.

    My questions:
    1. Which of the 2 is true, in other words: what do I have to do?
    2. Can the documentation be updated to be unambiguous on this point?

If there are no permission errors at upgrade, then the upgrade was successful. Then just go verify that the permissions on the config files are set to read only for owner and group.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
