Site manager suddenly began displaying the following error:

I had been running 1.0.14 and upgraded to 1.2.1 assuming I had a PHP issue. However, the error continues. An old post (
https://forums.modx.com/thread/8608/line-59-error) notes that the path needed to be '/manager/includes/protect.inc.php’. However this was for 0.9.61. I tried adjusting the path with no success.
The 1.2.1 protect.inc.php file is in the include folder.
Can anyone tell me what the issue is? I appreciate the assistance.
