line 59 error

i just updated to MODX 0.9.6.1, now the manager side works but i can’t get the front end to pull up. it says this:

Warning: main(./includes/protect.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /root/html/onlinejcom/index.php on line 59

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ’./includes/protect.inc.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in root/html/onlinejcom/index.php on line 59

does anyone know why this is happening or have suggestions?

It’s missing the includes/protect.inc.php file. Make sure it’s uploaded and/or not corrupt.

Take a look at that path... it’s ./includes/protect.inc.php, it should be /manager/includes/protect.inc.php

require_once(dirname(__FILE__).'/manager/includes/protect.inc.php');

thank you so much. i looked at that part. it looks like it was coded right, but i copied and pasted it anyway just because i tried everything else and it worked.
