    Hey Guys...

My client's site was hacked (MODx Manager 10.0.15), so they deleted some files and it was working fine until they deleted too many files. The first thing I did was backup the database(s). They could still get into the manager, and the config file was from last year, so I uploaded the new ht.access file and renamed it as .htacess, but that didn't change anything, so I backed-up the database(s) and uploaded the files from the 10.1.0 new version via the hosting manager's file upload.

Everything looked good, same nice MODx install interface with style, until I got to the actual install. Upon installing after checking the versions of
everything, it reported successful updates of a number of files, but the css styling was completely gone. There was no continue link or button, nothing telling me to remove the install directory.

Now, all I have are blank pages at the site domain address, the pages, the manager, the install directory.

I will probably have to have someone from ModX help her (she will pay for a fix) because she doesn't trust me enough to get things done without explaining every little detail. I simply do not work well under suspicion, and honestly I have to use her computer and am not authorized for anything on it, and I need my own set of tools to do well, work fast. My PC was hit by lightning last week.

If anyone knows what this is about, please tell me, otherwise I am telling her to use the Fix My ModX option.

I haven't heared of any hacks on 1.0.15.
It could be you are using the plugin EvoGallery or an other module/plugin isn't updated which had a leak.
Or the site was already hacked before 1.0.15. Are there any suspisious Users?

Did you reset paths? Could be the host moved the site to an other server and you need to Reset paths on the Config tabs. (last 2 tabs)

Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity smiley

No suspicious users. Paths are same. It is on my servers in same account. We have taken it offline and redirected traffic to the new WordPress site that shows both brands, but will try to restore old site later.
