    OK the next section we need to edit is back in the /assets/templates/modxhost/layout.css file

    #outer{

    	height:99.9%;

    	min-height:100%;

    	width:776px;

    	text-align:left;

    	margin:auto;

    	position:relative;

    	overflow:visible;

    	background:  url(images/inner_776x1.jpg) repeat-y left top;

    }

    Needs changing to
    #outer{

    	height:99.9%;

    	min-height:100%;

    	width:776px;

    	text-align:left;

    	margin:auto;

    	position:relative;

    	overflow:visible;

    	/* background:  url(images/inner_776x1.jpg) repeat-y left top; */
            background-color: #FFFFFF;

    }

    And that should sort it

      Thanks for your help...

      I do have one more question...

      Is there a way that I can play around with the width on the left- and right-hand sides?

      I don’t mind a little shading for aesthetic purposes. I tried adjusting the width values, but if I use a value of less than 776 then the left and right sides are shaded and the page text goes into the shaded areas and are unreadable.

        Glad I could help.

        Unfortunatly there is no easy way of changing the width of the margins to the left and right. You could make the central area larger by changing the 776 value upwards which would widen the central area but then you would have to fiddle with editing the background images used in the header to make them wider which would require down loading them and editing them with a graphics editor.

        Finally this would also mean that anyone using a screen resolution of 800px would have to scroll left to right in order to read your text.

        So the answer is yes but not easily.

        Can I also say what a wonderful service you appear to be providing.

          Is there a way to indent the text a little to the left and have it end a little closer to the left on the right side?  It’s almost too wide now.  I’ll have to see which I like better, with or without the sidebar.

          I’m wondering if we could adjust the <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px line. Would that help?

          Thank you for your support on our website.  I’m hoping that it will serve as a ministry to hurting families across the world.

            yes in the css file again find
            #left-inner {

            	padding-left: 9px;

            	padding-right: 9px;

            	text-align: left;

            }

            And change the 2 padding values the larger the number the more the text moves away from the side.
