    I got to thinking...

    I already have a registration process that people must go through to access my vBulletin forums page on my website, so why do I need to have them register twice? There’s nothing that they need to register for through my main website, anyway.

    So is there a way to completely delete the shaded right sidebar on my site pages through the Modx Host template (since there’s nothing there anymore after I deleted the code to login box that was there) and have the text on my page and the top menu bar expand all the way to the right side of the screen?

      Sorry your post is not clear as to what you wish if you wish to remove the sidebar this will be stored somewhere within the markup and all you need to do is delete the div and maybe edit some css but without more detail it would be impossible to say exactly what. Can you post a link to the site you are talking about so we can see better what you want.

        Sure...

        My site is www.hopeagainministries.com.

        Basically, I want to delete the dividing line and the shaded part to the right and extend my text and menu bar all the way across the screen instead of dedicating part of the right-hand side for a sidebar that has nothing on it...

          As always backup or comment out any changes to ensure that if things don’t work out you can quickly and easily change back

          First I would recomend commenting out the following lines in your template

                <div id="right">
                  <div id="right-inner">
                    <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                  </div>
                  <!-- end right inner-->
                </div>
                <!-- end right -->

          Then find
          #left {

          	position:relative;/*ie needs this to show float */

          	width:563px;

          	float:left;

          	padding-left: 7px;

          	z-index: 56;

          }

          In /assets/templates/modxhost/layout.css

          and change
          width:563px
          to width:776px

          I think this should remove the right bar.

          If not get back to me.

            I deleted the comments in the Modx Host template...

            But I’m having trouble changing the width value in the layout.css...

            I find the file and then can view it, but when I change the value I don’t know how to save the changes...

              OK sorry maybe I didn’t make myself clear you don’t what to remove the comments but comment out the entire block so change

              <div id="right">
                      <div id="right-inner">
                        <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                      </div>
                      <!-- end right inner-->
                    </div>
                    <!-- end right -->

              To

              <!-- <div id="right">
                      <div id="right-inner">
                        <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                      </div>
                      end right inner
                    </div>
                   end right -->

              How are you editing the css the easiest way is to go to resources->manage files navigate to the file and click the tick to the right of the file. not the mag glass.

              If this is not clickable then you will need to change the read/write permissions on the file which can’t be done from within modx,  the way to do this would depend on your hosting environment.

                Okay...

                Did that...

                But have other major issues...

                www.hopeagainministries.com.

                Weird comments on top and underneath picture...

                And the background changed colors...

                I will be more than happy to post the contents of my Modx Host template file if you’d like...

                        <!-- <div id="right">
                          <div id="right-inner">
                            <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                          </div>
                          end right inner-->
                        </div>

                  remove the --> after end right inner
                  so the entire thing becomes
                        <!-- <div id="right">
                          <div id="right-inner">
                            <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                          </div>
                          end right inner
                        </div>
                        end right -->

                    Hmm...

                    I made the changes, and it returned everything back to the way it was before...right sidebar shading still there and the text still left-justified...

                    Here’s what in my template:

                    <!-- <div id="right">
                    <div id="right-inner">
                    <h1 style="text-indent: -5000px;padding: 0px; margin:0px; font-size: 1px;">Hope Again Ministries</h1>

                    </div>
                    end right inner
                    </div>
                    end right -->

                      OK we are getting there the text actually now runs over into the right side bar I think the remaining problem is just a background image somewhere in the css I am currently looking at it and trying to track down which one to remove. Will post back as soon as I find it.
