    Hi,
    i have a problem with FormIt email responder, i have set it to a chunk with a table and all the fields of my form and it works great!

    Now my client wants his logo in the top of the email, i tried to add the usual <img src="http://absolute.path/image.png" /> but in the email i can't see the image! Formit only prints the <img /> tag without the "src" part! I don't know what to do.

    The image is accessible and the email/form works
    I also tried <img src=""> without the end "/>", i just can't add a normal static image in the emailTpl.

    Can someone help me?

      I don't see how that could not work. Can you post the emailTpl chunk content?

        Yes here it is:
        <img src="http://varbox.sicomunicaweb.com/assets/img/boxdrawn.jpg" />

        <table width="100%" height="auto" border="0" style="border:none; border-collapse:collapse; margin:0px; padding:0px;">
        <tr valign="top">
          <td colspan="3" valign="middle" bgcolor="#444">
            <p style="color: white; padding:15px;">
               Preventivo prodotto configurato:
            </p>
          </td>
        </tr>
        <tr valign="top">
          <td width="15%" height="50" valign="middle" style="padding:0px 15px;">Nome e cognome:</td>
          <td width="85%" height="50" valign="middle" style="padding:0px 15px;">[[+name]]</td>
        </tr>

        <tr valign="top">
          <td width="15%" height="50" valign="middle" bgcolor="#F5F5F5" style="padding:0px 15px;">Email:</td>
          <td width="85%" height="50" valign="middle" bgcolor="#F5F5F5" style="padding:0px 15px;">[[+email]]</td>
        </tr>

        <tr valign="top">
          <td width="15%" height="50" valign="middle" style="padding:0px 15px;">Telefono:</td>
          <td width="85%" height="50" valign="middle" style="padding:0px 15px;">[[+phone]]</td>
        </tr>
        </table>

        <p><strong>Prodotto Selezionato:</strong> [[+prodname]]</p>

        <p><strong>Prezzo:</strong> [[+price]]</p>

        <p><strong>Schema prodotto configurato:</strong></p>

        <table cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" ="0" border="0" style="border:1px solid #ccc; border-collapse:collapse;">

        </table>

        Don't mind the empty table and the Italian text, as you can see the first line is just an image inside the server, the link works but the ending html in the mail is just:

        <img />
        <table ....

          It sounds more like its going to be an issue with the email client. Many clients will strip out the 'src' attribute until you specify to display images. What client are you using to view the test emails?

          Gmail is one that will show images by default, so I'd suggest testing it there first to see if the image actually is being pulled through or not?

          Best,

            Best,

            I'm actually using Gmail to test this.
            My client has now decided he wants a PDF sent so this is not a problem anymore but i'd like to resolve this anyway because maybe it can be useful for other sites.

              It may be that the modMail/phpMailer system is trying to embed the image and failing. I don't know why it would do that with a full URL and I've got no ideas on how to fix it. I couldn't find any configuration file or relevant System Setting for the mail.

              You might try switching to SMTP (if you're not using it already) using the MODX System Settings to see if that makes a difference.

                  It's getting stranger and stranger... this time the output is this:

                  <img alt="Logo" title="Logo" style="display:block" width="200" height="80">

                  it pratically strips out the src attribute.
                  I also tried changing the image with another one from the same server and also a placeholder image from placehold.it but nothing...
