    • fenderboy,

I would say this is mostly a right issue : seems like your editors do not have the right to browse the default media source. If editors have access to another media source, you might want it to be the default media source for your editor users.

You can do so by adding the user setting "default_media_source" and set the media source's ID as value (if you have more editors than admins, it might be faster to change the "default_media_source" system setting and add a user setting for each admin users).

Just in case, you can add user settings by editing a user and going to the "settings" tab).

      Hope that will help
      • Well, that was useful. I've been wondering for some time now how to get rid of that spurious "1" when I have a user with limited file access!

thanks, you saved me, romain smiley
            • Well, this is the same thing happened to me. However, when you update a group access control, add New Media Resource wont work too(cant choose Source). This is what I've got from error log:
(ERROR @ /connectors/security/access/usergroup/source.php) Could not load class: modAccessMediaSource from source.mysql.modaccessmediasource.

I'm current on admin rights. Is there any help please?
              • Okay, it's my own mistake on setting up rights on editor role. I have to check those again.
                • Came across similar item.... have a different problem. I have a MODX install that has 92 contexts and 92 media sources, with 92 users, each with access to their respective one. The drop down issue is occurring in the system for us, even though we have file permissions correct. We were getting "1" displayed originally. This ended up being a situation that the "FileSystem" alphabetically fell onto the 2nd page of the drop down, so the initial page drop down could not locate it and displayed "1".

Along that issue, it turns out that the drop down is limiting to the assigned media source, but the drop down is still keeping the original count. So for the one user who has the last media source alphabetically, they cannot access their listing, as it is being on page 5 of the drop down. In essence, only the first 20 alphabetically work.

                    Hello,
I'm getting a similar issue and just wondering if anyone can help me...

Just installed Modx Rev 2.2.0 for a few sites and 2 of them aren't showing the "Files" tab. I'm logging in as the default admin and haven't made any changes to the permissions etc.

Anything I can try as I'm completely lost here!

                    Thanks

I am having the same issue. I see as an ADMIN the Files tab with number 1 and an empty files folder.

I created a new Media Source called MyFiles and it is a system files media source. I can select it but it looks all locked.

I get this error: [2012-04-25 18:22:01] (ERROR @ /connectors/security/access/usergroup/source.php) Could not load class: modAccessMediaSource from source.mysql.modaccessmediasource.

I'm not savvy with the permissions and access control in modx. Can't understand much how it works. Could I have please some guidance on this??

                      It is pretty urgent. Thanks!

                      I'm with Rev 2.2.0 also.
