I have just converted this template
http://jayj.dk/ for possible inclusion in the MODX Extras section
I have a working demo at
http://blog.allanb.za.net/
I would like to know what the community thinks should be in the sidebar and any other changes that would be better for a MODX Blog template
DEVELOPMENT ENV:- Ubuntu 12.04 | MODx Revolution 2.2.8 | LAMP 2i Apache 2.2.22 | Php 5.3.10 | Mysql 5.5.31 MySQL client version: 5.5.31
Your demo’s layout is broken on my FF/Mac. Everything is displayed in a row, one beneath the other, including the sidebar.

Thanks Susan I have tested in FF on Linux and Chrome
I have no access to a Mac.
Anyone know any differences

Sidebar, search and widget blocks are supposed to be under the rest? Menu is OK.
Version 3.06.17 on OS X 10.5.8

If Susan’s on 3.* that’ll be for a reason. In my view FF4 on a Mac is a significantly worse browser than 3.* but I can’t be arsed to downgrade.
In any case, FF3.6 and below still accounts for 10% of the browser market in the last survey I could be bothered to look up (Feb 2011 -
http://www.netmarketshare.com/browser-market-share.aspx?spider=1&qprid=2). Which rather worryingly, is the same as IE6.
Ok. I looked up another non-techie survey, and it had FF3.5+6 at over 25% of the market, and IE6 at 5%.

Which makes me want to cry a little.

Lets not turn this post into a browser war zone.
I did the dev work on Ubuntu 10.04 using Chrome 11. (Chrome seems faster with Revo). I checked with FF 3.6.17 both produced the same results.
The template is supposed to be HTML5
I AM REALLY LOOKING for IDEAS TO IMPROVE THIS TEMPLATE FOR THE USE OF THE COMMUNITY
It is stated that there are no templates and basic setup’s for a BLOG with MODX
I am trying to fulfill that need with your help. (I am no designer)
