Could not load controller request handler.

I had this problem crop up recently and it took a little while to figure it out, but I was successful.

Go to System System settings and in the search field type Extension - this brings up the path you are looking for, here you can amend it.

Then clear your cache and the error disappears , hope this provides the fix you're looking for.
