Intermittent hangs - Newbie

Well, all I can say is my Host wasn’t interested so I think I’ll be looking for another host a.s.a.p. in the mean time I’ve done a localhost install and that’s running fine apart from a problem running "Frontpageslideshow" which worked ok on the remote host but not locally. However, that’s another story and hence another thread if I can’t find the answer.
