  • There’s two sets of reports in the Manager, one for system events and one for manager actions. To clear manager actions, you first have to do "search", then you’ll see a paragraph of text with a link for "empty".

Thanks, but unfortunately, I can’t actually load the Manager Actions page, as I guess it is too big as Ryan suggested upthread. Hence I would need to go and hack the database by hand, but I don’t know where in the database MODx keeps this data..
Please don't PM me unless it's absolutely essential: if a technical question is worth asking, it's worth asking in public, so that others can share their experience, and so that all can learn from the answers.
      • It’d be nice to be able to trunc but keep the most recent XXX entries without having to do that though. Too big a result set = fail as was pointed out by david55.

        • The event log is in the table event_log, and manager actions log is in the table manager_log.

              Dear all,

I know it is an old thread but could not find a newer one. Does this error happen also with Revolution? We only fixed that problem by increasing the memory_limit to 256M.
We are running ModX 0.9.6 and have 40.000+IDs. We are thinking about upgrading to Revo. Is there any experience with that?

              thx in advance and best,
              c--
              • 40,000 MODx docs?!! You’re definitely going to run into issues in Evo. What snippets/plugins are you using in your site?

yes and more. Guess we will have over 150.000 at the end of the year within 0.9.6 . There are a lot of snippets we added. do you need more specific info?
so we are thinking of upgrading to revolution because of the cache problem. which kind of probs do we face also when using evolution?
                  • That many docs is crushing PHP due to the cache size. Warnings have always been made for any sites built in Evo that exceed 5,000 docs for this very reason.

Do you need individual pages, or could you convert some of it to custom views into a custom database?

Revo would certainly help, but you’re likely going to see some effort required to port the snippets and other Add-ons you’ve used.

ok, fine, than we will upgrade. what is the major difference between evo and revo concerning snippets?
