My biggest peeve is oddities in the editing; what gets put into the editing form should be ignored by the MODx processor altogether. The code blocks should be for syntax highlighting. And if it must be that the code blocks are necessary for displaying things like MODx tags and HTML code, then it should not in any way process anything put in the code tags, except for the syntax highlighting.

Thanks Susan for the feedback. I think your requests are covered by some issues in the Tracker, but wanted to confirm. Do the issues prioritized as critical get them all?

It's nice to hear the forums are about to get some long overdue TLC. I know it would be great if the unread post indicator worked properly (http://tracker.modx.com/issues/7225). I know it picks and chooses boards and posts that I have read and marks them unread.

I would also love to have next/previous links at the bottom of each topic. Granted I didn't see my request for that so I may need to refile it.

Ryan, these are important to me:

Recent Posts and My Posts show only 10 posts.
My most recent posts often do not show up in My Posts or Recent Posts
Back button does not work in Chrome
Carriage return eaten after emoticons (there should be a blank line after this one) wink

When a reply goes on a new page, user is not forwarded to that page

The first three suck up a lot of my time. The limited number of posts and missing recent posts mean that when I think of a better answer after replying and navigating away from a page, I have no way of getting back to my post.

The useless back button means that if there are 4 pages of new posts, I have to go back to page 1 after every reply and work my way down to where I was.

We're reworking Discuss a ton right now. Our goal is to release it this year, after a trial by fire with the new skin (and tons of bug fixes) here in these forums.
