nope, I’m using firefox, but I got directed to microsoft.com. Gosh, it’s so weird.

Anybody using firefox on windows XP SP2 willing to give this link a try?

      • Confirmed, we have a problem Houston! smiley Using FF 1.5.0.1 and WinXP SP2 and got sent to www.microsoft.com

I was utterly confused as I edited the link in the address bar to remove the extra ’http://’ and still got sent to the MS website - I had to copy and paste it into a fresh tab before it would work properly huh

Oh, now I get it what’s happening.. when using Firefox and type gibberish at the location bar, it will use googles I’m feeling lucky feature to go to the first site that matches your keyword.. but I have modified my Firefox to not use the I’m feeling lucky and to display the results.. I just get google results for the keyword http.. but the first result is actually World Wide Web Consortium. Don’t know why you get microsoft.. maybe it’s a conspiracy?

BTW, If you want to get rid off that I’m feeling lucky thingy in FF, go to about:config url and use "keyword" as a filter. From the keyword.url remove btn=xxx... Or disable the feature if you want from the keyword.enabled property.

EDIT.. umm slightly off topic.. sorry!! wink

If you use I’m Feeling Lucky from Google it goes to World Wide Consortium... mmmmm

Try "failure" and then click "I’m feeling lucky" LOL

If you go to Google English site (http://www.google.com/ncr) and search "http" Microsoft is the first result.
