Yeah, I experienced the same thing today. Very odd indeed.

@Mark, Wendy: Can you please capture a screen shot of that ?

@Edge: Thanks for pointing, I’ll fix it soon.

      regards,

      • I do miss the "new" (unread) icons in the list of recent postings that the previous template had.

I mentioned before that the alpah version of FF I’m using doesn’t show the avatars. They do show in the SMF forums, though.

I can’t show any screenshot, because everything looks normal, except when I browse through the thread one by one, then I realize that some of the new posts/topics on that thread is not being shown on my show unread post since last visit.

I think Susan might be able to show a little screenshot on what’s going on with the forum template on her ff browser.

          • I’m not bothering too much about it, since this is the bleeding-edge 1.6a1 nightly build. I upload the latest every couple of days, and every time it’s a little improved. At least it has the problem where the select dropdowns in the document editing frame didn’t drop down. That was in the official 1.5 release. The drop-down menus on the Rico site don’t show, either. Something weird about alpha transformations, I think. The Prototype library does those when showing/hiding stuff, I guess to make the transition prettier.

            • I happened to be viewing the Properties of the avatar images in FF 1.0.7, and this is in the alt for the avatars:

The image “http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=1238;type=avatar” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

But the avatar on the post replay page doesn’t have that.

I’ve been having problems with adding image attachments lately. With FF 1.5, when I save an image attachement, save my post, and then go back and attempt to add the image in my post with img tags the forum seems to hang when I hit Save and displays the ’Loading...’ prompt. Sometimes it saves when I refresh the page...sometimes it doesn’t. Very frustrating! Ugg! wink

Would it be possible to add a "Personal message" link below "Show new replies to your posts."?

                  Thanks

                    • There is definitely enough above the "fold"! About 2/3 of my page is taken up with menus and headers and crap. Too bad we can’t have the option of choosing this template or the original simple one. <sigh> us old folk don’t take too kindly to progress.
