I upgraded one of the sites I manage (one of the only ones not on modxcloud) and I am having an issue in the admin. The site was not hacked, I updated as soon as I saw the announcement.

In the menu tree, some of the containers are not showing the resources in them. It seems to be the ones that have a large number of resources (maybe 100+ but I can't see/count).

The resources are still there - they can be found via search.

When the manager first loads, the little triangle symbol is available, but when I click it, it disappears.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Rachel

Is there anything showing up in the MODX error log, or on your servers PHP error logs?

Nothing in the MODX error log. I am looking now to see if I have access to any server error logs.

I don't seem to have access to any php error logs on the server sad

It's a new server - updated on 19th July to 2.6.4 as the old server didn't support php7. The menu was fine at that stage - it was the update to 2.6.5 when it disappeared

            Are all extras updated?

Have your deleted the contents of the /core/cache/ folder? I usually do this manually via FTP or SSH as the Manager does not appear to do it fully.

I might be worth uploading a copy of the Setup folder to your installation and re-running setup.

Thanks Andy... I followed both suggestions but no joy. This last update I did with UpdateModx extra (first time I have used it). I wonder if there was something there that didn't work. Maybe I need to upload all files and try re-installing. Hmm.

I have not had any problems using the Update MODX extra. In the past I usually caused more problems myself by doing updates manually and making a mistake!

I noticed that the resource for Theia Bridal is ID number 7568. Does your site have that many items (resources, snippets chunks etc)?

I just did a new manual install and still have the issue.

It doesn't have that many resources in total - it's a site that's been in production for about 8 years, so lots of resources have come and gone as bridal collections change.

I had the same issue but in my case, it was because of the connectors folder path was wrong. I fixed path, cleared cache and it started working.

You might check out the CacheClear extra, which is more aggressive and can be run from the Manager (sort of). It would be easy to make it into a widget.
