Answered EVO 1.2 update / Rich text editor not working

    Dear all,

    I have recently updated a couple of sites to the latest version of EVO 1.2 and the reach text editor is missing from the resource content and the TVs. Do you have any idea / suggestions on how to fix that?

      A solution was found. In case you experience something similar,

      1. I made a fresh empty install of modx evo 1.2.
      2. Then I went to the db in the following tables
      - modx_site_plugins
      - modx_system_settings
      - modx_site_plugin_events
      and did a copy of the tinymce related rows to the upgraded website, and everything worked just fine.

        Don't think it's a good solution.
        which editor does not work? both Tinymce 3 and Tinymce 4?
        I suggest you to switch to new Tinymce 4 (latest and updated version) included in Evo 1.2

          Ditch TinyMCE 3 forever, that's what I say.

            Hello Nicola, that's exactly what I did, installed Tinymce 4, latest version, that's what the process above describes.

              How can I make a fresh empty install with a existing website? I will lost everything. I don't understand.

                @neoziox I think means a "separate" clean install. But don't do it - you don't need that to solve this issue
                - just disable tinymce 3 and set tinymce4 as default editor

                    check your manager user settings > user > Editor to use
